Beninese singer Angélique Kidjo to be honored for humanitarian work at the fundraising gala for Alicia Keys' charity Keep a Child Alive on November 1st at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom.
Beyonce and Carole King added to the list of performances for the event.
The night will also honor Oprah Winfrey for her philanthropic efforts.
It said Keys, Angélique Kidjo and rock group Alabama Shakes will also perform and Whoopi Goldberg will be the night's host.
In a statement Keys says King has "blazed the trail for women in the music industry," adding about the rest of the line-up: "women will be rocking the house this year."
Let's call it ladies night.
Keep a Child Alive assists people affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. The R&B singer launched it in 2003.
Congrat Miss Kidjo because you deserve it Mama Africa!
