One of Sierra Leone's most influential and leading women, Dr Sylvia Blyden to join over 45 African women at Harvard round table discussion holding in the US.
The Awareness Times newspaper owner will meet other powerful women across the world on March 9, but the programme runs till 14th March, 2015.
There will be discussions surrounding the role of African Women in the post 2015 development agenda and the +20 Beijing review process.
The event which will be held at the University of Harvard in Cambridge, Massachusetts, said to be organised by Urgent Action Fund Africa (UAFA), in partnership with Harvard Law School and the Ford Foundation.
Issues like women’s rights advocates, academics, human rights champions, femocrats, United Nations (UN) representatives, corporate & media women and thought leaders from across the US political, business and human rights sectors and beyond will be targeted.
Currently, Blyden is in the UK for another meeting. She is invited under charter of Her Majesty the Queen of England, which has to do with issues around youth. Source closed to the journalist said she will return to Sierra Leone before she takes on the journey to the United States.
