The Government of Sierra Leone has ordered an arrest on Kono journalist, Tamba Fanday, who said to have been constantly criticizing President Ernest Bai Koroma and the Sierra Leone Police relating to Ebola funds.

On 22nd of February  2015, the Citizen Radio Station manager, who currently is in hiding with 33 others,  issued a statement explaining the order letter was first  released on the 4th of December, 2014 by State House and was in the control of Ibrahim Koroma, the head of Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

He further explained that the list was passed on to the Attorney General and Minister of Justice for approval, with intentions to get all of them to the Parliament house.

He expressed that an investigation was not put in place and he believes that it an unlawful decision made by the Parliament.

Fanday who is bothered with the ongoing injustice towards Kono journalists, said two men whose names are on the list were arrested and beaten while the Vice President, Sam Sumana made a visit in Koidu.

Even before the incidence Fanday explained an arrest took place which involved young men, and they were under detention.

He recalled that his expression during the arrest of the Kano Youth has got him into the current state.
The CR manager also admitted opposing the Government of President Koroma.
