At least, there are minimum one-thousand (1000) children in Sierra Leone that left orphans during the pandemic within the year 2014 and still counting in 2015. Though statistics show, according to the Ministry of Health and Sanitation, There are few case reports since January 26th of this year.

Today I sat on my bed and questioned 'what impact can I make' after reading an article on Awoko. My eyes soiled with tears, looking down at my little boy.
There's no limitation to obstacles and destiny in life and anything can happen to anyone at any day and any hour, but just maybe at the wrong time.

Right, what impact can we make in these children's lives? Bringing their parents back to them for sure it's very impossible, at least when we talk About real life and human ability.
There are numerous organizations striving hard to add value to the lives of these children who are forced to be without their respective Mothers and Fathers.

A Non-Governmental Organization based in Kailahun District, call Social Enterprise and Development Foundation (SEND), has managed to place total 95 Kids under foster care in various villages across the Province, which was hard hearted by the deadly Ebola Virus.
Some caregivers offered to foster up to six orphans, which we can be truly inspired by, because there is only such a small amount of homes for over 200 kids in the region.
SEND raised signs of hope with monthly support allowances of Le 200.000 per orphan, paid to the Community Credit Union which is part of the project. Awesome!

Where are they going to house the rest of the other motherless and fatherless young boys and girl?

We as individuals can do the same and even more.
We can be part of their life, we have the choice supporting organizations to support them, Alternatively, we speak to our diaspora friends and see what can be done. All is left with us, on how we can come in during this defeating time in those Kids' lives.

Let's do something, let's make a difference and let's do a remarkable thing we've ever done!
