Education Minister Sierra Leone, Minkailu Bah has disapproved expectant students not to be part of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), if their pregnancies are visible.
Due to the rise in teenage pregnancies during the shot down of all schools in the country , journalist were concerned at the March 24 press conference if the girls who are pregnant will be able to continue as normal.
However, Mr Bah didn't assure, that there is a room for them if they have reached their second trimester towards the last stage in pregnancy.
He expressed that prior Ebola, a 2010 letter from the West African Certificate Examination (WAEC) explained the difficulties they are facing in invigilating pregnant girls during examination, adding that some will fall ill at the centre and will be rushed to hospital.
