Former Embakasi MP Ferdinand Waititu has said the ongoing court case seeking to bar him from running for the Kabete Parliamentary seat has nothing to do with his integrity.
Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV on Thursday, Waititu said his integrity is not worse than the current crop of MPs .
“Are the people fighting in parliament worse than me?” Waititu asked.
"I feel like I can go back to the people of Kabete and help them develop the constituency,” he added.
Waititu further said that he is suitable to be Kiambu’s next Governor stating that the leadership of Governor William Kabogo is questionable.
“I am a graduate and I am doing my MBA now. I have the ability to become governor of Kiambu .I have roots in Kiambu. I have what it takes to be a good governor,” Waititu said.
Commenting on  the nullification of his appointment as Chair of the Athi River Water and Services board in March last year, Waititu denied that the court barred him from holding office.
"The court ruling was that I had not been voted and that the minister should do a fresh appointment,” Waititu said.
On his loss to Governor Evans Kidero during the March 4, 2013 general elections, Waititu said  he lost by a "whisker" receiving  618,000 of the votes and therefore he is not a loser.
