According to the Daily Mail, a New York building collapsed and surrounding buildings caught alight on Second Avenue and 7th Street today by 3.30pm. The fire department declared a seven-alarm fire. At least two person have been rushed to hospital in critical condition and left 12 injured.
Flames ravaged the structure as the floors collapsed inside following the explosion. Thick gray smoke billowed across the sky as the roof began to collapse and debris could be seen strewn across the street.
More people could still be trapped inside the burning buildings, and cadaver dogs are waiting on the scene, NYC scanner reported.
