Yesterday, March 18, the State House Communication Unit Sierra Leone released a statement to address recent news surrounding a replacement of current Vice President Samuel Sam-Sumana.The Press Release
"It has come to the attention of the State House Communications Unit that certain fake press releases are making the rounds on social media, particularly on Whatsapp and Facebook about certain names being announced by State House as possible replacements for the Vice President of Sierra Leone.
The public is hereby informed that those press releases are false, unfounded and mischievous aimed at creating a flurry of speculations among the public.
In his press release issued to the public yesterday Tuesday 17 March, 2015, His Excellency the President clearly stated that he will appoint and announce the name of the Vice President of Sierra Leone after consultations with the leadership of the APC.
We therefore encourage the public to exercise patience as we await the completion of this process within the shortest possible time."
