Back in October 2011, ex-coach Dario Bonetti who was in charge of the Zambia football team Chipolopolo since July 2010 was fired 9-months before his contract ends.
Although he was qualified for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations match, he was terminated by the Zambia Football Association (FAZ) and at the time the former coach was owned a sum of US$432, 000 from his salary.
The French man has put the matter to Federation Internationale de Football Association known (FIFA) and that has been taken very seriously. A hearing is set for coming August.
Zimbabwe was recently banned from the 2018 World Cup for the same issue with Jose Claudinei Georgini, a former coach also. That has raised more awareness to the Zambian government to pay off the debt.
Zambia's sports minister Vincent Mwale said in parliament, that Mr. Bonetti was dropped because he was handpicked and was not screened for international experience and African experience.
The secretary general of the Zambia Football Association, George Kasengele confessed to BBC Sport his association is much at ease the Bonetti case has come to an end.
