Burundi: Three months before the presidential elections in Burundi, the tension continues to rise around a third candidacy of President Pierre Nkurunziza, disputed by both the opposition and civil society in his own camp. But this internal sling movement initiated by senior executives of the CNDD-FDD ruling party begins to falter, especially because of the battering that struck him power. And, despite the denials of the CNDD-FDD, slingers denounce "methods worthy of another time."

Burundi's media only talk about that yesterday, Thursday, April 2, President of the National Assembly Pie Ntavyohanyuma, considered one of the leaders of the revolt that has shaken the ruling party, was banned from travel to Belgium on April 1st. And everyone closely follows the attempts underway for one week for his removal.

But it is the tree that hides the forest because all these slingers frames provide today face pressures that go beyond simple intimidation. Hot threatening son, shadowing the street, death threats that cater to the parents back in the hills, nothing would be spared to party cadres who have publicly objected to President Pierre Nkurunziza is running for a third term .

Dismissed

Finally, if this stack with any threats the slinger did not understand and did walk back by signing a document "to the Soviet" which he recognizes his mistake and apologizes to the CNDD-FDD, it is simply removed its functions. This is what has happened to many of them.

So, the internal movement of protest stalled, no framework dare not sign the petition against a third term. Worse for them, about half of the signatories would have been forced to withdraw. But the new spokesman for the CNDD-FDD denies all the charges. Gelasius Ndabirabe-Daniel speaks of false allegations, "We can not accept that they undermine the interior party."
