D'banj wins MOBO (Music of Black Origin Awards) for best African act 2012. Koko master crowned a stunning 2012 as he lifted his award, at the star studded bash in Liverpool last night.

His home country Nigeria must be really proud of the oliver twist singer, as well as every African for his archivement in the international music scene.

Presenters were Miquita Oliver and Adam Deacon with backstage support from Rickie and Melvin - the night saw some of the world's finest talent performing to a packed arena. Trey Songz, Conor Maynard, Emeli Sandé, Misha B, JLS, Stooshe, Labrinth and Wiley all blew the crowd away.

The Music of Black Origin Awards established in 1996 by Kanya King MBE and Andy Ruffell, are held annually in UK to recognise artists of any ethnicity or nationality performing black music.
