President Ernest Bai Koroma reacts to corruption reports surrounding the sum of 25-billion Leones Ebola money.At a meeting held at Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel, Aberdeen in Freetown on February 17 yesterday, the President commits to lunch investigation against Ebola funds mismanagement.
He solemnly gave his word after receiving details from Audit Service Sierra Leone that the government will source the missing money in question.
Mr Koroma stated that as APC won't permit corruption, the matter will be dealt with accordingly and those who responsible will be exposed for their greedy act.
At the Private Sector Development Round Table discussion which organized by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, in collaboration with the Sierra Leone Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SLIEPA), he also said his attempt to hinder a moment like this not to ever come failed in the past, when he cautioned NGOs staffs and donation company of more transparency.
Further more, His Highness addressed issues that the government continues battle Ebola matter and hopes Sierra Leone will be free from the deadly virus, as it has slower the country's growth with 2014 to date.
A new strategy to a better Sierra Leone is his focus at present, the President highlighted.
Mr Yero Baldeh, who is resident representative of African Development Bank in Sierra Leone, was thrilled over this urgent meeting and calls it a means to tackle matters surrounding the virus and how to move forward to finally go without Ebola case report.
