Government joined force with the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists group(SLAJ) as they lunch new campaign 'Yellow Ribbon'.

The project that aims to contribute fighting deadly Ebola virus to zero case report in the country was lunched past Saturday, 14th of February 2015.

The event ceremony which featured notable Professor Monty Jones, who is President Ernest Bai Koroma special advisor, held at Siaka Stevens Street, Cotton Tree location.

The Yellow Ribbon is to identify Sierra Leoneans who have commited themselves, which includs health workers, journalists, security personnel, bike riders, Government, stakeholders, chiefs and traders in the fight towards the disease.

Johnes also stated SLAJ fully have the government support for the program and called on Sierra Leoneans to add their blessing for the positive energy as all schools, colleges and universities resume coming March.

He also addressed ignorance of citizens for continued denial, tiredness, carelessness and stubbornness to adhere to the preventive measures.

Kelvin Lewis, the SLAJ president also press on continued complacency until the whole country, which includes the Capital city and Provinces declare free from the pandemic. He futher on add the the Yellow Ribbon is the sign of dedication.
