Kallon Receives Inter Milan recognition - Sierra Leone News

Mohamed Kallon, a former Sierra Leone and international star was recognized  and presented with a commemorative shirt on Sunday in front of the Milan faithful at the Meazza Stadium.  

He was recognized alongside former inter –Milan stars Nicola Ventola who  were presented with a commemorative shirt and an Inter Milan carved badge just before the series A clash between Inter-Milan and Fiorentina.

According to the club website, Kallon and Ventola also presented awards to five Inter Clubs who were invited to the Meazza to celebrate their respective birthdays: Inter Club San Donà di Piave (50) Inter Club Sant'Agata di Militello (30), Inter Club Acerra (25), Inter Club Davoli (10), and Inter Club Malo (10).

“"Once an Interista, always an Interista" reads the club website “Inter Forever reunited the Nerazzurri's strike partnership from the 2001/02 season, as they presented Ventola and Kallon with commemorative shirts at the Meazza, featuring the numbers they wore during their spells at Inter: 3 for Mohamed, 78 for Nicola. “

Before Sunday’s match, the duo appeared on Inter Channel show on Saturday they were asked series of questions, about the 2001/02 season and their plans for the future.

At the show, Kallon applauded the Inter Forever tournament in China-which he was part of the team whilst Ventola echoed his sentiments saying: “We’ll try and recreate the Ventola-Kallon strike force for Inter Forever too. It would be just like 2001/02.
