Residents of Ward 393 in the Lumley Community, over the weekend embarked on a massive cleaning exercise which started from the Lumley Community Market and its environs.

The chairlady for the Market Kadiatu Tawarally said that they have decided to do such cleaning as they want to have clean environments which will be good for both their own health and their customers.
She said for them to be able to have such cleaning exercise it is the corporation with the other market women for the contribution and also for the role of Councillor Percy Nicholson of the ward
She said that Councillor Percy Nicholson has been very instrumental to ensure that the monthly cleaning exercise is done frequently.
She went further to appeale to all those who are selling in the market to continue to pay their duties to the Freetown City Council as they are using this money to developed the market.
During the cleaning exercise both Massada and Klin Salone was in attendance.
